milk or buttermilk (preferred)
Instructions
Buttercream Frosting
Cream butter.
Add sugar gradually.
Add salt.
Stir in liquid a little at a time.
Beat until fluffy.
Butter Cake
Sift dry ingredients together.
Cream sugar & shortening together, then add eggs.
Add flour and milk alternately.
Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
Bake 375 for 35 minutes.
Cool in pans for 5 minutes and release to cool.
When cool, frost the cakes with the butter frosting and enjoy!
