Asa Soltan Rahmati Shines Like a Diamond With Her New Diamond Water

Asa Soltan Rahmati knows how to blend health, hustle, and a whole lot of glam. The Shahs of Sunset star created Diamond Water—a product that actually tastes like water should. We talked with Asa about her journey building Diamond Water, navigating reality TV drama, and why staying true to yourself is the ultimate key to success.

Asa, how did you come up with the idea for Diamond Water?

In the beginning, Diamond Water was more like a thought or meditation, because I was really missing my great-grandmother, my family, and my culture. Since I was a child, I created little worlds for myself with rituals. It’s like a prayer, so making Diamond Water was almost a way of reminiscing.

How did it evolve from that personal ritual into the product it is today?

My friends kept asking me for it, and it transformed into what it is today: alkaline water, pH. People don’t have a real sense of what real water tastes like; they’ve just been programmed to taste chemicals and plastic.

I combined my passion for health and healthy living. Some people on these shows put their name on a product—this is my baby, and I’m really proud of it. I wanted to put out something from a positive place to add to the world. In Shahs of Sunset season three, you’ll see me from A to Z doing this—it was a crazy journey!

What was the process like?

People need to see that there is a process behind it. It’s not just “here’s a celebrity and here’s a product.” There’s a lot of hard work, a lot of money. I remember shopping for the diamond.

If you’re really passionate and come from a positive place, and believe in your dream and vision, combined with hard work, that’s when you’re successful. I work really, really hard, and you’ll see it this season.

How do you handle the critics?

Sometimes, others will stomp down your dream—even the ones closest to you. They can’t see themselves doing something, so they don’t want you to succeed. For me, that doesn’t phase me. I won’t let anybody stop me, no matter what they think. I’m still gonna work hard to make my dreams come true.

Where is Diamond Water now?

I’m so excited. It has beautiful packaging. We designed this bottle, and I’m obsessed, because the final cap looks like a diamond—it’s clear and light blue.

The tagline is: “Live Healthy, Shine Bright,” because that’s really what everyone should do. Whether pursuing a passion or just living life, you need to visualize your dream. See yourself succeed in your mind’s eye. Have a vision, otherwise there’s no direction.

I believe that you have to take small steps every day to manifest your dreams. You have to believe in yourself. I’m spiritual, and I believe everyone has a purpose. You’re given a seed of an idea, a seed of a dream, and it’s only for you. Pursue it. If you don’t, it keeps coming back because it’s meant for you. Nothing is easy. Every step has challenges, but it’s worth it.

Most of us aren’t doing what we love. Everyone has responsibilities, bills, kids, jobs. You have to carve out time for yourself—even one hour a day can help you build something meaningful.

Of course we have to talk about Shahs of Sunset.

What makes me happy about our show is that so many people write to me—young mothers, teenage girls, old men, everyone. They’re always like, “Oh my God, you show your family.” Our families are featured a lot. We have drama, but also a lot of family. Family is universal. You see the parents, the issues, and you can relate. We humanize our culture. People see us like everyone else—they have family, they eat, they party. The spirituality, the sense of family, and the level-headedness we bring is something I love.

But that openness doesn’t extend into your private life, right?

No, I don’t really go into dating stuff. I’m with my soulmate, and we’ve been together just over three years. We’ve known each other a long time. He’s private. You won’t see him much on Shahs, and I respect that. But there’s a wink and a nod that I’m in a serious relationship. I’m open about what I’m open about, and the private stuff stays private.

How do you balance reality TV with authenticity?

Last season started with a crazy fight between me and Gigi. It’s dramatic but real. We’re really friends, and the things that happened really happened. Our show isn’t scripted, and I’m not into perfect. Nobody’s perfect. We’re all somewhere in our journey. My mom is all over the season, and she’s an emotional powerhouse. People connect to that because it’s authentic.

And that’s because of you and how you live your life.

Absolutely. Diamond Water is legit. We have a factory—we bottle everything. My parents had no idea what I was doing. They were like, “Why don’t you become a nurse?” But this is my art. They just wanted me financially secure. I’ve created something meaningful and authentic. This is my vision, and I love it.

I don’t believe in coincidences. If you follow your own dream, you fall into the natural flow of the universe, and you get synchronized with what’s meant for you.
