Orange Julius beverage stores were more popular back in the 80s, when long lines formed for this frothy drink. According to the official site, Orange Julius is quickly coming up on its 100th birthday. Back in 1926, two friends, Bill Hamlin and Julius Freed came up with the concoction. Freed had been selling oranges, but sales were slow. Hamlin enjoyed the fruit, too, but found them too acidic. He added some ingredients, and voila, the Orange Julius was born.

If you’re waxing nostalgic for an Orange Julius, you won’t have to wait too long. Break out your blender, grab a few ingredients, and soon, you’ll be sipping on amazing memories.
