That’s right, the Grammy Award-winning superstar has now become a perfumer with the launch of his premiere fragrance collection, “HELLO by Lionel Richie,” and it’s going to give you all the fragrance (and nostalgic) feels.
The “HELLO by Lionel Richie” fragrance collection comes in two scents—one for women and another for men. The women’s fragrance, “HELLO by Lionel Richie Eau de Parfum,” is decadently delicious. It has a sensual yet sweet scent that has three notes to it. The top note is pear, lemon, grapefruit and pink pepper white flower, followed by floral heart notes, emphasizing jasmine and tuberose. But the base of the women’s scent has depth that is displayed in its notes of honey, tonka, ambrox, and patchouli. The fragrance is fun, floral, but also is intriguing and sexy.
“HELLO by Lionel Richie Eau de Toilette,” the men’s fragrance also has three notes which make it super sexy, clean, and modern. It boasts top notes of bergamot, grapefruit, bitter orange and mint, while its heart notes are lavender, cashmeran and violet leaves. Finally, the base notes include are patchouli, vetiver, and ambrox that are strong and sinfully sensual.
As far as fragrance bottles go, HELLO is seriously a statement piece. The men’s bottle has an onyx bottle encased in gold-toned latticework, while the women’s scent has a translucent pearl bottle that is also surrounded by the beautiful gold detailing.
“I’ve always looked at fragrance as a way to express yourself, so I wanted to take my creative expression one step further and decided to craft my very own fragrances,” Richie said in a statement. “While working through this process, I realized there are many similarities between songwriting and fragrance creation — the notes have to work together.
