It’s Winner Winner Chicken Dinner With This Easy And Flavorful Chicken Dish

Sure, it might be what’s for dinner, but serving chicken night after night isn’t anyone’s idea of appetizing. (Except for that kid who only eats dino nuggs.) But this dressing recipe from singer Ben Rudnick is flavorful, easy to prepare, and it will take your chicken dinner to the next level. “This dressing is one of my favorite things to do and I use it all the time,” says Rudnick. “I use this dressing on chicken and particularly favor dark meat (wings or thighs) but it also works really well giving white meat some added flavor.”

The cool part about this recipe is that it really works with any herbs that you have in your kitchen. Says Rudnick: “Besides the dressing flavoring up chicken wonderfully and being fairly quick to throw together, a highlight for me is that it promotes improvisation, like the music we play, based on what herbs you have on hand.” For Rudnick, it can be anything from cilantro to sage. “Really any kind is good and any combination is fair game,” he says. “I use basil quite a bit, and thyme or rosemary. You can even try oregano, sage or parsley.”

Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. really good olive oil
  • 2-3 tbsp. fresh herbs, minced
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 5-10 drops Tabasco sauce

Instructions

  • Salt and pepper your chicken of choice.
  • Grill, roast, bake or saute until done to your taste. ("I like dark meat with the skin on (cut calories someplace else!) and I like the skin to be really crispy," says Rudnick. "Wings are easy to get the skin crispy, thighs with skin on and bone in or out is good too. Cook breasts if white meat is what you like.)"
  • While the chicken is cooking, mix together all the ingredients in a large serving bowl.
  • When the chicken is done cooking, add them to the bowl with the dressing and mix it all up so that the chicken is covered.
  • Enjoy!
