Project Runway Designer Korto Momolu Shares Her Liberian Milk Candy Recipe (And It’s So Easy)

Sometimes you just want to whip up a super easy dessert without having to invest too much time or energy. This recipe for Liberian Milk Candy from Project Runway Season 5 designer Korto Momolu is insanely easy and only has two (count ‘em, two) ingredients! In fact, you probably have these pantry staples already, so making this delish dessert is a cinch.

Liberian Milk Candy

Ingredients:

1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk

½ cup vegetable oil, plus more for greasing plates

Directions:

Add two tablespoons of oil to plates, swirling around to cover them.

In a medium saucepan, heat half of the vegetable oil. Add the condensed milk, and stir continuously.

Once the milk becomes thicker and changes to a golden brown, remove from heat.

Pour the mixture onto the plates, and allow to cool slightly until it’s safe to touch.

Add a bit of oil to your hands to grease them, then roll the mixture into small candy balls.

Decorate with sliced almonds, nuts, or any other toppings you’d like.
