Raw Chocolate Mousse Recipe, And Guys, And It Has ~Avocados~

Chocolate mousse is one of those decadent desserts you can only eat once in a while…until now. Cover celebs Play Date gave us this recipe for what they call The Best Raw Chocolate Mousse Ever!  “This is our version of a recipe taken from Going Raw by Judita Wignall,” says Shanti Wintergate. The non dairy and raw mousse can be made in under ten minutes and lasts 2-3 days in the fridge, although, according to Shanti, “It doesn’t ever last long in our house. We kind of devour it!”

If you’re wondering what makes this mousse better than the rest, the surprising key ingredient is…avocado. “Don’t tell people the secret ingredient is avocado until they try it!  Such a yummy treat to satisfy your chocolate appetite,” says Shanti. “This dreamy delicious chocolate mousse is so good that you’d never think it was healthy for you too!”

Celebrity Recipe: Play Date’s Raw Chocolate Mousse

INGREDIENTS:

2 Large Avocados (or more as needed)
2/3 cup Cacao Powder
1/2 cup Agave or Maple Syrup
A pinch of Sea Salt

DIRECTIONS:

Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend for 1-2 min until smooth, with the consistency of a thick pudding. Add more avocado if it’s too thin. Scrape down the sides of the container and blend again (pulse) as needed. Chill the mousse for 2 hrs if you want it cold, or eat it right out of the bowl!
