The colder weather is coming, so that means it’s time to swap your sandals for something more seasonally appropriate. But instead of digging in your closet for some beat-up sneaks, switch it up for these SpongeBob SquarePants X Timberland Boots.
Everybody’s favorite sponge is celebrating a big anniversary. SpongeBob SquarePants is officially 20 years old, if you can believe it. And in honor of this momentous occasion, Timberland and Nickelodeon teamed up to create a brand new collection of boots and apparel featuring everyone’s favorite yellow sponge and his friends. The line, which includes shirts, hoodies, and boots, is definitely stylish and can send your kid straight to the head of the class.
But if you thought that the SpongeBob SquarePants X Timberland boots were just for kids, think again. The six-inch boot styles are available in black and bright blue for $220 (adult) and toddler ($90), youth ($110), and junior ($140).
The cool thing is that even though the traditionally tough and rugged Timberland boots feature a cartoon, they are still totally cool enough for an adult to wear. The blue SpongeBob SquarePants boots feature an ocean-blue ombre shading, going from lighter on the top to darker on the bottom. The outside of the boot features SpongeBob sporting glasses and a jellyfish net, peeking out above a seam, while underneath three jellyfish swim by the traditional Timberland logo.
On the inside of the boot, three jellyfish are in hot pursuit of SpongeBob’s best friend, Patrick Star, who is running away while blowing a big puff of air (or is that a bubble?) The boots come with blue laces, but also have a bright pink option for those who want to switch things up.
As for the boot itself, the upper part is made from premium leather from a LWG Silver-rated tannery. Each pair features 400 grams of PrimaLoft® insulation, rubber lug outsoles, and lined tongues. And just like SpongeBob himself, the boots are completely waterproof.
