Sure, you could cruise by Cold Stone Creamery, or pick up a pint at your local supermarket, but there’s something about making your own ice cream that’s udderly exciting (ha). Of course, you might not want the time commitment that comes with all that churning, and that’s the beauty of snow ice cream. All it takes are a few flakes, and a couple of pantry staples, and you’ve got yourself an icy treat that is as easy as it is delicious.
The key to making snow ice cream is picking the perfect flakes. While you could scoop up some snow from the ground, you definitely want to make sure that your snow is clean. That’s why putting out a bowl while you’re watching the snow fall is the simplest (and safest) way to get your base for the ice cream. Plus, this is the perfect winter activity to do with your little sous chefs. Ready when you are, snow ice cream is even more delish than sticking your tongue out and tasting the flakes that way.
