Goodbye Monsters Book & Zimbobo Plush Toy Can Help When Things Go Bump In The Night

Goodbye Monsters Zimbobo Gift Set

Sleeping kids and monsters definitely don’t mix. Goodbye Monsters, written by Msgt. Benjamin Hemme, an active member of the U.S. Air Force, was created to help kids overcome their fear of the dark and help the entire family get a good night’s rest. Goodbye Monsters is the story of a little boy named Ben who, like most children, is terrified of monsters. One day Ben is introduced to a magical creature named Zimbobo who has supernatural powers that keep all of the bad monsters away.

The gift set comes with your child’s very own Zimbobo, which can be your child’s night protector against things that go bump in the night. Simply help your child place Zimbobo where he fears monsters lurk (such as the closet or under the bed), and Zimbobo can help him chase the monsters away.

Msgt. Benjamin Hemme says that he came up with the idea for Goodbye Monsters when he was deployed in Iraq. “A fellow airman was very upset because his daughter was afraid of the monsters under her bed, and he wasn’t there to do his routine ‘monster chasing duties,’” says Hemme.  “Through conversations with my fellow Airmen, I discovered that deployed service members often meant sleepless nights for the young children left behind. While we tend to think often about the men and women fighting for our freedom, the struggles that loved ones at home, especially children encounter sometimes get overlooked. Recognizing a need to support fellow men and women in uniform and children everywhere who suffer from bedtime fear, Goodbye Monsters was born!

“Over the last two years my wife and I devoted our time to creating Zimbobo, a plush children’s toy designed to protect and chase all of the monsters away accompanied by the book Goodbye Monsters.  The Goodbye Monsters book together with the Zimbobo plush toy opens up the possibility of the deployed parent being able to read the book to their child while deployed and have the Zimbobo protector at home. Goodbye Monsters serves the dual-purpose of ensuring children can sleep without fear, and U.S. Service Men and Women can focus on their deployments with the knowledge that all is well at home. While Goodbye Monsters was initially started because we wanted to help military families, parents and children everywhere are falling in love with Goodbye Monsters and Zimbobo.”

Msgt. Benjamin Hemme donates a portion of the proceeds to service members who are deploying with young children at home.

So help your child sleep better through the night (and support our military, too!) by purchasing this great gift set!
