Review: The Strawberry Shortcake Movie: Sky’s The Limit

As a child of the 80’s, I totally hearted my Strawberry Shortcake dolls. I would go to sleep sniffing their deliciously scented hair, and dream of Strawberryland. So I was thrilled to once again see my beloved Strawberry Shortcake in the all new feature length movie, The Strawberry Shortcake Movie: Sky’s the Limit.

Sporting a new look, Strawberry Shortcake is living the sweet life in Berry Bitty City. When a storm jeopardizes the city’s water supply, it’s up to Strawberry and her friends to save the town. Along with characters from the original Strawberry Shortcake collection (Raspberry Tart, Blueberry Muffin, Angel Cake, Lemon Meringue), the movie introduces the new magical Berrykins, adorable yet mischievous creatures who grow and harvest berries from the nearby strawberry fields.

Bonus extras include an oh-so-cute music video “Café Cabaret Sing-A-Long” (complete with bouncing strawberry!), and printable coloring pages. I loved how the inside of the DVD case is pink with tons of glitter all over. It completely appealed to the girly-girl that I am. Had the case been strawberry-scented, I would have probably lost my mind!

With the themes of friendship, working together, and a can-do attitude, The Strawberry Shortcake Movie: Sky’s the Limit is a totally awesome (!) movie to watch with your sweetest Strawberry Shortcake fan.
